    Default First day for jacks

Finally tried our luck for Jacks. The weather hasn’t been cooperating. Conditions weren’t ideal. However we were able to connect on these two magnificent European hares!!!

Congrats! A day out is great either way but those two certainly add something special.

I have never had the chance to take after them, maybe some day.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

Well done. They aren’t an easy animal to take.

Nice!! We haven't seen jacks like those around these parts for years. Coyotes got them all.

Very nice. Love the fact you take them with a rim-fire must be so exciting

Congrats, well done! Not easy chasing them through deep snow, and then connecting with a 22.
I was waiting for jack reports, thanks for posting.

A couple of very nice specimens there. Congrats!
It's been a few years but we used to get some great cardio workouts snowshoeing through deep snow pursuing these beauties in and around the Meaford area. The speed these buggers can reach (especially if a 1st shot misses its target) never ceases to amaze.

I've been out twice so far , the first one ,it was plus 8 and zero snow ... only saw one track in the soft ground . Second time , one track , but lots of coyote
tracks . Again , lack of snow same result ! It was good to be out in the fresh air with the hardy few guys and the exercise which you can't beat !!
