Default Video: Injured Buck At the Trail Cam Site (Ottawa)

    Hello All,

Sad to see a regular buck at one of my trail cam sites show up this week with an injured right leg - with what looks to be a fracture or break. Whitetail are pretty resilient, so fingers crossed this fella makes it through the winter. Good to see him moving, eating and showing his dominance over this youngster.

    Cheers,
    Justin

Looks like he dislocated his joint. Have seen it on horses from jumping fences and such.

Will be checking the cams again later this week - see if he has made another appearance.
And yes, could be that Saskfly.

I may be wrong but it looks like a wound that's starting to heal. He's putting some weight on it which is a good sign. If the snow stays as low there as it looks the yotes won't catch up to him that easy.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?
