Carp through the ice?!
Hey all, I fish a lot at Lake eugenia, and one of the main species I fish for in the summer is carp, can anyone provide me with some tips for finding these fish in the winter? They would be super fun to hook into. Thanks!

Although carp do get caught through the ice it's not common.
Targeting them maybe a waste of time.

Yeah they will be a pain, however it's basically the only fish that's big that has an open season in my lake lol

I would try a dough ball or some corn on the bottom and keep my fingers crossed.

If there are pan fish set up a nice little ultra light rod. Small fish fight good on light gear and certain lakes can be plentiful.

Probably good to groundbait the hole often. Real easy to find the same spot every day! Look up bolt rig, self hooking is advantageous on those cold days.

Always had good luck attracting them in the summer with creamed corn.
