    Default Moose Management changes 2020/2021

What is your opinion on changes? Some I like, others not so much. Not being able to put in as a group for a guaranteed tag will hurt the most in 2021. I do like the addition of some new bow hunting opportunities, but at $200 a bull tag plus licence will take some getting use to.

I think i like it... i really want to see what the point based system looks like as it evolves the first 2-5 years.

also, does it say how much the "hunting license" is? i don't see it anywhere

It can't be any worse than the mess we deal with, now.

100 percent a step in the right direction in my opinion.
hopefully eliminate the people that are only in the draw so they can transfer a tag if they get it.

If I read it right, the moose licence is reduced to $35. This doesn't include entering the draw($15) and the price of the tag if successful.($30 calf, $150 calf/cow and $200 bull) The price of a bull tag does seem like a shock initially but if you have a few guys going with you, it doesn't amount to much.

I like that in 2021 you pay $15 to enter into the draw instead if the full price. The prices for Bull tags etc seem to be reasonable.

Anyone seen any details yet (open/close dates) on the proposed 2020:
    -Extended calf season?
    -New archery season?

i like the individual part of it. Seems fair. Having to hunt in large groups was never my cup of tea and so I didn't. I would love the chance to someday get a tag and hunt with my small group at my camp.

$200 if your drawn for a bull tag shouldn't really be that big of a deal since you have been paying $50 every year for very little chance. If you hunt with a few guys that cost will be a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of your hunt.

I wish it went this way years ago, but better late than never.

Trying to comprehend their new system.
So, if 10 guys in a group apply for 10 years as individuals now according to the new rules and each accumulates 10 points and the draw for the bull moose requires 10 points are they all eligible for a tag? Obviously the majority would decline maybe keeping 2 tags so what happens with the surplus tags? Is there a secondary draw for others in that WMU?
