Love solo trout fishing. My only audience is mother nature.

Every time I bring a buddy, he catches the big one....
I deal with a lot of people during the week, I love solo fishing.
It brings me back to a good place.

I like fishing either way. If I'm exploring backwaters and creeks I prefer to do it with my alone time. I can move or sit and be patient as much as I see fit.
If I'm fishing known spots I enjoy having a tag a long for company.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?
Most of my fishing is done solo. You can pack up and move without any second guessing. When your on your own you can move at your own pace, as in my case I pack light light and move fast . Takes only a few seconds to pack up and move . Even though I own a few portable huts I generally dont use them as they slow you down. Many dont want to move after they set up camp in a portable hut on the ice even myself. When it comes down to running and gunning on the lake it best to have little light loads . I have a check list when I head out onto the ice it's very small.
#1 my bag it has all my rods and tackle
2 my fish finder
3 my auger
4 my sleigh to haul it all [emoji1787].
I like to keep it simple no extras no heater my ice picks stay in my suit and my spud always stays in the vehicle. Only use the spud on first ice as I have been known to fish some extremely thin ice . My spud weights about 45 pounds it has a round point that is capable of punching through 3 inches of ice in a single hit.
As for my spring fishing I generally again pack light enough to carry in both hands as I head to the river. A few rods a bag of tackle filled with soft baits a pail and a net lol.
Summers are to busy to fish [emoji106]
And yes I enjoy fishing any time ,anytime fishing is a good time solo or not. I just fish 90 percent of the time solo

only for safety reasons I don't hunt or fish by my self
I prefer fishing with others, but can get up and go with a moments notice myself.

Ironic question during these times
I am not a die hard fisherman, I enjoy it once a year when I am away bear hunting, because Im not a die hard, I don't like to fish with someone that is as I don't want to take away from their own enjoyment
I fished solo most of my life. Now that I have kids, either my 11 yr ol comes with, or ,if she could have it her way, my 5 yr old is with me.
This isn't a test run................Enjoy er'.......
