Stay safe it's that time of year again.
2 incidents happened yesterday
Please remember that any river or current areas are going to have un safe ice.
Stay safe and enjoy the remaining of the season.

Year after year we read the same stories...guys driving on ice and going thru. ATVs, trucks, sleds etc etc. It'll never change.
The good news, less and less guys are getting killed doing it. So they will live on, procreate and pass on those 'hold my beer' genes and the cycle will continue

If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Good analogy Mike! There is a shallow end of the gene pool.

Some claim you only truly live when your on the brink. I've done enough craziness in my younger years that I much prefer to be a spectator these days...lol

Was going to try Rice Lake again last weekend but didn’t make it out,
I was thinking about heading to Lake Simcoe this weekend but with these warm temps and the rain I’m not sure. If anybody has an update on the ice closer to the weekend please post it, with a location

I will be out Saturday for the whitties and hopefully a day next week for the perch. Will be heading out from jacksons point area on Saturday. Most of the huts have been removed from the lake already operators started removing them on Monday and some have kept a few out for the weekend. As of now shoreline are still holding witch is a good sign. All rivers and streams are open and Virginia beach is going to go faster as the ferry never stopped so the path continues to get wider from bit by bit from the wind .
