Hi from a new hunter. Turkey, you say? Solitary? Then I have some property owners to contact.
We need nature. People are packing national parks. If the place you're heading to will be deserted, go for it. Same goes for trails. Pick unpopular routes.

Thanks for posting and letting me know. I just notified my buddy to let him know the earliest we can probably camp is May long weekend. Not a big deal weather was going to be zero or lower at night.

At this rate...any public recreational forest will be closed to hunting
It will be interesting if hunting/fishing openers go ahead on there dates, even for private property
