Rabbits, Doves and Starlings

Hello. I just need to know the area and season to hunt doves or pigeons and starlings near Kitchener Waterloo or Guelph please. If someone knows the area and regulations about it, please let me know. Also i need to know if there is any limit on doves and starlings per day? Really appreciated. Thanks

Starlings and pigeons are easy. pretty much anything goes. No limits, no closed seasons. No restriction on hunting method/equipment.
Doves well a lot more restrictions. Will need a migratory permit along with your small game. Only Non toxic shoot allowed along with the fact single projectile firearm can not be used. Seasons and limits can be found in the migratory bird regs.

You should consider taking the hunters safety course, valuable information on game species, seasons and regulations.

As he said above. But.. are you in an area that allows you to discharge a firearm? Regulation wise I would suggest you just read the regulations to be 100% sure.

I works suggest that you review all of the information you received when you took your hunter safety course. It should have the links you need to find this information. If you have not taken this course, it’s mandatory before you can hunt.

Ya, it's a thing or at least was over the pond. When your hungry, you get creative.

Don't forget that for a long time, deer, boar, and a lot of what we would think of a game was owned by the king or lord. You did not hunt them, and lived off small game.

come late fall till early winter you'd be surprised how good of a meal they are. They carry quite a bit of fat on them and pluck easily. Slow pot roasted and served over polenta hard too pass up

Yup got a doe in the back yard that's on to her third litter already. Have to do a walk around the place before the dogs are let loose to make sure nothing is out.

Hm.. not something I had given any thought. I will give starling a try, maybe I've been missing out.
