    Well it is an interesting question from you gbk ...
    First the Bull is not castrated so has balls ... so the cow suppose to taste better
    Second the cow dos not have a high testosterone in the body ...
    Third when you see more cows at good hunting ground in same place ,
    you can chose the younger looking one ... what we intend to do ... this year !

    You nailed it. Preparation and cooking has, and always will be, what will make game meat awesome table fair or as you mentioned garbage.
    Most of our gang would not eat black bear until we learned how to prepare and cook it. Now it is the first meat tray empty

    How the game is handled after the shot is everything. I once saw a big bull, hide still on, on a flatbed trailer with two four wheelers parked on top of it, waiting to cross the border at Fort Francis....they were heading to Illinois, in 70 degree weather!!! I bet that moose was tasty !!!!!
