    Default Cold Front Walleye

Had a bud come for a visit and a fish yesterday aft. I knew the bite would be slow due to the front that came through, including 2 tornadoes just north of us. I dumbed it down to 1 /16 jigs and live bait, and fished the deep holes where I thought they'd be holed up for security. We managed, (I managed) 4 walleye in the slot in 3 hrs of fishing. We both landed 5 different species, blues, perch , rocky, sm/lr and pumpkin. Over all, great aft catching up and landing fish. Have for for a big fry this aft before the game. Tight lines..

On my cottage lake. Fished it since I was a kid. Funny, you can pattern the fish and everything will be text book year after year...but every once and a while....the fish will switch it up, and your back to figuring out the "new" pattern. Lol.
