Benelli Super Black Eagle III
Any advise on Benelli SBE III. I really like this shotgun and maybe I buy it. I prefer it over Beretta 400 Extreme Plus because it is less bulkier and lighter. I also like Inertia system over Gas operated. I know Beretta generates less kickoff but it is not a big decision making factor for me. On the other hand I don't like the weight/size of Beretta 400. By the way, any advise and sharing experience is appreciated.

Never had one ,always wanted SBE II-never did buy it(not much projected use-so dropped it).
I heard-so you may want to inquire a bit-the SBE III has to much flex in the stock(to tame the recoil)but that makes shots have weird patterns..............maybe they fixed it by now, worth nosing a bit before you buy.

I have a beretta extreme. Tried my buddies eagle. Didn't like the harsh kick compared to my beretta. Beretta stock welds to my cheek better.

I bought a SBE11 maybe 5 or so years ago, I thought it was really nice until I bought my montefeltro. I prefer the solid stock over the comfort tech. I did look for a regular synthetic stock for the SBE11 but never got one.
I've also read about some pattern issues with the sbe3.
I like benellis and haven't had any problems with the ones I own.

No problems with my Beretta, lighter doesn't always mean better. Its just a matter of preference, pick what feels better to you and how the gun fits is important.

I purchased an Xtreme Plus back in the spring online without holding it. Was a mistake and instantly sold it. It was like swinging a 4x4 piece of lumber compared to the SX3 I have been using for 15 years. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice gun, but just not for me. When I sold it I found a New/Used SBE3 I got a great deal on. I was looking at the M2's and held the SBE3 and instantly fell in love. INSTANTLY. It took me about 2 months to pull the trigger however because off the negative reviews on the gun shooting REALLY high. The consensus was that Benelli corrected the issue and the gun I purchased was manufactured in 2019 which was post problem.
I honestly couldn't be happier. I think it is the lightest 12 ga semi on the market. Recoil is not as bad as what I have experienced with other Benelli's. Its still more than my SX3 but the gun is light as a feather, so it's expected.
Although I have not shot paper to test to see the pattern is high, I don't think it is as I have a few hundred rounds down the pipe shooting trap and skeet and I am not missing because of a high pattern. I shoot the same as I did with the SX3.

Chev vs Ford.
Both are amazing guns. I own both Benelli's (Super Nova Steady Grip) and Beretta's (391, 686, 687) and they are great guns. I prefer the 391 over the A400, and the SBE but it is all preference buddy

Has too much time on their hands
I've always preferred gas guns over inertia. I'd take the Beretta over the Benelli every day of the week!

I have a sbe2 and I like it. It’s never jammed up and I’ve shot 2-3/4 target loads to 3-1/2” so far it’s been reliable. I’m sure other brands of guns will do the same just do some research on them and like others have said buy what feels good to you. I bought sbe2 over the beretta xtrema 1 or 2 at the time because the beretta felt too thick and bulky at the forgrip for me.
