    Default Another Nav Card Question

I purchased a new to me boat and it has a Lowrance HDS 7 Gen 1 fishfinder on it. It has a Navionics card in it but I cannot read what is written on it anymore - I am assuming it came with the boat when it was purchased. The issue is the card sucks - it does not have many of the lakes I fish on it. We just had a fishing trip on the West Arm of lake Nipissing and it had none of that area on it, lake Cecebe is not on it and either is part of the French. It has the main lakes - Erie, Ontario and Simcoe.

My old boat had a Hummingbird Helix 5 Si/GPS and a Lake Master Card (great set-up)......only thing I would have changed was a larger screen - Helix 7!

Will the Lake Master card work on the Lowrance HDS 7 Gen 1 unit? What card is everyone using? I am only fishing south of Sudbury.

    Thanks for your input

Well I did some research and found out that the card that came with the Lowrance 7 HDS is an Insight USA Lowrance card.

I called Radioworld and they are amazing to deal with - very knowledgeable! The guy not only informs me that the card was an Insight USA Lowrance card, but he said I do not need to buy the new Navionics + Canada card for $300, I can just but the Navionics update for only $140 !

The Navionics+ Regions-Canada & Alaska would have all those bodies of waters on it! You can check the list of lakes available on it at this link -
https://www.navionics.com/usa/navion...ns-canada.html I don't believe that you can buy the Navionics Update card to use with a Lowrance Insight card but you can buy The Navionics+ Regions for $210 and send in the Insight chip for a $50USD rebate on your purchase! https://www.navionics.com/usa/lp/rebate
I hope that this makes sense!
