    Default Nottawasaga Access Question

Hello, I just have a question as per the access to the Nottawasaga and where one can fish for free. I understand that there is a year-round season (catch and release, albeit) north of HWY 89 all the way to the lake, but I am just confused as to where it is free to fish. I have heard you have to pay in Angus or Essex and I just have no idea where you can fish for free...if anybody could clear that up a bit, that'd be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The parks in Angus are definitely pay for access. Farther south you could likely find a road crossing that would be free. Just watch for no parking signs.

Okay, thank you very much. If anybody else has an info, that'd be appreciated.

And yes, an Ontario fishing license apparently excludes Angus for some stupid reason...

It seems to me that the Ontario Fishing Licence never did give you fishing rights to private property.
Essa and Angus just got so tried of picking up garbage on their property that the pigs left behind , they felt the need to create some income to pay for cleaning up their property after pigs.
I fished both shores between Aliston and Angus since 1955 and saw that coming.
