Beautiful work.
Who did it? Have you ever seen any of Bob's sculptures and his art?
He painted the dog above as the artist hired by the publisher didn't deliver.
The story goes that Mr. Wehle produced the painting in a few days.

Thanks Tim, I did the piece and yes I have seen some of Bob's work. He was truly a gifted and talented gentleman.

And Gentleman is absolutely what he was.
Back in my "Hippie" days he made us feel absolutely welcome at the farm in NY.
Any one who had been bitten by the bird dog/field trial bug got all the benefit of his experience and ability.

Yes indeed and in my opinion the bird dog fraternity in general is in desperate need of like minded individuals not the least of which is breeding practice.

Very nice craftsmanship, nice looking piece.
My wife does Glass Art....where she cuts the pieces of stained glass and fixes them to old window panes. She has all the equipment to do soldered Stained Glass works like that and is planning on attempting it in retirement. She also does glass bead making with mandrels, glass fusion with a kiln and glass blowing. I had to renovate an old barn into a studio for her this summer as she was encroaching into my work shop. She will be retiring in the spring and that would only have made that situation worse
