Just out of interest I looked at the Garmin topo on a new extrex. I really don't think any difference from my etrex venture with topo from 2008. How can they justify that price??

If you or anyone you know is a user of the Linux OS they have access to software that will convert between GPS map formats. You'll love the price of the software too.......FREE. See a good map but it's not in a format your GPS can read, just convert it.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.
