Buck Visits Scrape - Then Chases Pair of Does (Cam Video - Ottawa - Nov. 16)
Hello All,
Love this trail camera capture from yesterday. Probably my favourite from this fall thus far.
Funny enough, I arrived at this spot an hour after to swap memory cards. Go figure.
Can't complain about the quality of the Stealth Cam Black Ops 8 - at least during daytime hours.
Watch in 1080p HD for best quality.
Cheers,
Justin

I noticed in past videos that you state the cameras were in no hunting areas. Are these deer living in or near urban areas?

Delmer - All are within urban areas, Ottawa to be precise.

I am curious: How often does the same buck visit a scrape? I have been hunting a location on public land that has a couple of scrapes under the same tree that were made about a week apart. Do your bucks visit the scrapes more frequently? Once a week seems a bit far apart, but I am wondering if it has to do with the fact that this area is heavily pressured. I have not seen this (these?) buck, although I have seen a few does and I have hunted it a few times over the span that the scrapes were made.

rf2 - Seems to vary, but most of the bucks I have captured on the cam are visiting the scrape at least every couple of days - some daily. Does are visiting them very frequently as well. This is public land that is off-limits to hunting, so the pressure isn't there for them.
Cheers,
Justin
