To clarify, do you mean literally swim all night - like put them on the stringer alive? We knocked them out as soon as we caught them so that wouldn't have been on the table, we did consider keeping them in the lake overnight but one of the guys said he's never done that without a snapping turtle getting to them. I guess the water and the night air were still cold enough that our hanging platypus technique worked out fine.
