Has too much time on their hands
Yes I talked to Savage about the stop of production. They told me that they average 6000 ml per year in sales and it ties up a line. That same line retooled can put out 50000 guns a year. It's not economically fiseable to sell these anymore.
For 2000 build a custom!

I bought mine at Prarie Gun traders. They had 2 synthetic camo blued.....I bought both and sold 1 without even taking out of the box for $1200....I paid $795 each.....so the 1 that I kept only cost me $400........works great and I will never sell it
1 buck and 1 coyote on my first hunt with it

Apparently out west they have changed or eliminated the muzzle loader season...my nephew picked up a Stainless Laminate thumb hole ML10 2 with a ton of vent liners and spare breach plug, pretty much everything you would need in a lifetime of shooting, he paid less than $800 shipped from Prophet River....
The gun has hardly been used...
The salesman said that there is no season there anymore so the people who had them sold them off........
