Hey guys my dad is looking into buying a home in 83a, what is the deer and bear population like. Will need to start spreading out my hunting spots

Not much for bear, there are some there for sure but not huge and not plentiful.
Deer hunting can be good but not great, it's a hard area to hunt.

I second the last post, not a whole lot going on there for bear and deer. Very few tags available as well. waterfowl is good however and neighbouring unit 82 is a better choice for deer.

I shot my bear up there and a friend as well, I don't think there is a ton up there but there is a fair population. I would say the same about the deer as well.
