For the price it might be worth rolling the dice, no complaints with it, they are super bright. But the QA surrounding the on/off and multi mode button is common. While researching the batteries on them (worth using different ones) prior to buying I started seeing more and more users mentioning other.

    Some great suggestions, thanks all.

Not sure I want to spend on some of the $300+ Fenix and EagTac models, etc... but certainly there are some great looking units out there in the $80-$200 range.

Google their reviews. You can order them online from Costco without a membership and get free shipping. I've had great luck with them, and if you have a bunch charged up you never have to wait for something to recharge.
No interest in rechargeable AAs anymore. I've spent a fortune on them and have never found a charger, or batteries that function as I expect them to for the $$$ charged.

My LED Lenser uses rechargeable AAA batteries, but in 2 years of limited use I have never had to charge them, was about $50.

    https://www.ledlenserusa.com/flashlights

It outperformed my 2 cell Mag lights with LED bulbs by a long margin, I did a 'test' of the two side by side across a lake and the LED Lenser illuminated so much more that the mag light on or off made no difference when the LED Lenser was on. I now use my mag lights for a fish bonker.

lol Poor out-moded MagLites. So overpriced for their performance these days.

You didn't mention a particular model.

I ordered this one, since I had a 40% off aliexpress coupon it's costing me something like $11 CAD, shipped.

It's a chinese rip-off of a $300 flashlight, so i'm interested to see how it stacks up. Only issue seems to be that sometimes the diode is thrown in sloppily / off-center.

Was out hunting with a friend last week, got dark so I turned on my crappy Eveready headlamp which barely lit up my feet, he turned on his and for a minute there I thought he brought his dirt bike with him, boy that thing is bright!

He has the BORUIT 3000 and bought if from Aliexpress for $20 shipped, I checked ebay, same price. Another hunting buddy of his had one and my friend just HAD to order one himself. I in turn just ordered one for myself and a couple more for family and friend. I honestly think that word of mouth is the only way these things get sold. My friend says that he now knows 4 guys that own them, everyone is happy with their purchase.
