vortex viper 3-9 x 40

I see cabelas have this scope on sale for 299.00. Not familiar with it . has anyone had a good or bad experience with them. How are the last light optics . Is there better models in the vortex line. Would put it on a 243. Have experience with leopold vx 2 are they in the same field. Lots of questions, opinions needed. Thanks old243

I have a Vortex on my 17hmr works great . I bought a viper 6x18x50 for my 243. A friend has a couple of Vortex scopes and he thinks they are great. Nice and clear . Excellent warranty you can't go wrong. I will be putting one on my 270 in the future.

Great scopes! IMO they are better than a vx2 and almost as good as the vx3. I've sold my leupold and bought all Vortex. At that price you can not beat it. Also the warranty is second to none.
