I'm trying to renew it online but on this link

it says that I need to register for a GCKey. i can't find how to do it. Can anyone help ? Thanks

It says GCKey or partner services account, I used my online bank account. Fill out the forms online then print,sign and add picture and put in mail, sent mine Nov.1/16 got RPAL in mail Nov.28/16, you can also add your digital photo and send in online

I just did mine...I applied for the GCkey on line....they ask a whack of questions then send you, via snail mail, a pass code. Then you log back in, use the passcode and your in. Real pain in the butt, but it gets you access to everything you deal with the Feds; EI, CPP, OAS RCMP/CFC etc etc.

The RCMP site is a breeze, fill out the renewal form, get the wife to sign it (digitally) attached the digital pic and hit 'enter'.

I did it last week so we'll see how long it takes.
