So criminals will realize they are illegal and not buy them??? Some how I don't think that will work.

Playing devils advocate here for a minute but in this day of terrorists attacks maybe they feel we are all safer if a home grown terrorist can,t get their hands on these mag,s.I mean even a .22 will kill you just as good as another round.I also agree that none of these restrictions should be done unless Parliament passes the laws.

The same rationale applies to every firearm and magazine, too, including AR platform rifles. Let me know when crooks start playing by the "rules".
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Has too much time on their hands
Every single act of domestic terrorist in North America have shown signs before it happens. They always say that the person was investigated, or was "on the radar of....." or people around them were aware of their beliefs. The world has become to politically correct and it is to the point where no one wants to point the finger at someone they know is capable of an cowardly and unspeakable act. Do they really think that a terrorist or criminal will be stopped by this? Lets take away from the majority so that we can be protected. For those on here who don't know, I was in law enforcement in a US border community. I had a US citizen (a friend) call me after looking at purchasing some property became suspicious after viewing it due to the tenants in one particular unit. He asked who he should call. I suggested the FBI and told him because our authorities in Canada wouldn't know what to do. The FBI were concerned enough that they made a trip and investigated it. I then get a call from someone who was supposed to be a "intelligent officer" who gave me crap for giving the advice I did. It turns out our authorities were aware of the location but didn't know what to do with the information. We don't want to offend anyone within our Canadian community or point fingers. We have lost our Canada already and turn our backs as our country is taken from us from within. My 2 cents. And since I got my summer hydro bills, it's all I have left.

The CCFR's video here is strikingly dishonest. Several points jump out:
- The RCMP is not making law.
- Interpreting the law and determining when to make arrests is a normal exercise of police power.
- The RCMP has published a rationale for their decision. The CCFR doesn't address it, and instead calls the decision "arbitrary," which by definition it is not.
- The RCMP did not instruct its officers to arrest otherwise law-abiding people in possession of these mags.
I like Rod Giltaca and I think the intent of the CCFR is generally good, but the gun community is not well served by having its own lobby groups feed it misinformation. And it does not help the CCFR's more general aim, to make a case to the general public and win support, if the CCFR insists on publishing information that anyone who looks to the primary source can see is dishonest.
Do a better job, Rod.

"[COLOR=#333333]Ban the cause of terrorism in this country.
[COLOR=#333333]The RCMP should leave us innocents and our guns/ammo alone....and go ban the real problem."
Okay I'll bite, what exactly do you see as the cause of terrorism in this country, and the real problem?
