    Default Whitetail hunting seminar?

Was hoping to attend a good seminar this year... not the usual kind, something unique and inspiring for even the seasoned hunter. Not that I am one, but I have read tons of articles and seen tons of tv shows, so I want to attend something you guys would recommend as really helpful. I'm not on the up and up when it comes to seminars and when they usually come around, whether it's at a show or at a club. Can anyone recommend one? Is there someone you know that gives a good talk on tactics and stepping up your game?

Virtually 100% of anyone writing or speaking about hunting is selling product or selling themselves. Bias is heavy.
Their anecdotes may be interesting but can't be generalised to everyone's personal situation.

Your time would be better spent with boots on and carrying binoculars-- in the areas you like to hunt--at any time of year.

    Default Whitetail hunting seminar?

Johny, this is how I knew someone would reply, and I respect that. And agree with you. But I was hoping to bring home some inspirational advice, much like a trades person or someone in technology will go to a seminar and bring back something different or helpful to kind of improve on a skill. I know there are lots of guys who have been hunting for 20+ years who will attend a seminar from time to time... it's helpful I'm sure. I don't want to go to a seminar to hear the same stuff I already know. I guess I am assuming there is someone out there who will discuss tactics but also touch on attitude, conditioning, worse case scenarios and how to make them great, dealing with tresspassers, land management ... without selling you a product.

Buy Leonard Lee Rue's book Deer of North America. He's not selling Voodo nonsense and isn't sponsored. Old book but tremendous amount of solid science and hands on experience every deer hunter should read the book.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

Get on a bunch of outdoor pages, and subscribe to their newsletters.

There's a book out that you'd probably enjoy as well. Called the Urban Deer Complex. By A.J. DaRosa. Definitely was a good read, and a different take on whitetail hunting, particularly in areas on the fringe ( Like a lot of York Region).

There is a meet and greet in Southern Ontario later on this month, some of the guys will have a lot of great info to share.
