Two weeks ago, I read an article in the paper ,where the CEO of Valeant Pharmaceuticals was paid one hundred and eighty two million dollars salary plus bonuses, being the highest paid CEO in the country.

Read in yesterday's paper, that Valeant Pharmaceuticals is selling off a couple of it's divisions to the Chinese for 2.1 billion dollars to make up for a cash shortfall.

Does this make sense? it sure doesn't to me, paying out these large obscene, ludicrous salaries and then discover that you have a shortage of cash ??????

That is insane. I am more concerned that the Chinese are getting a couple of it's divisions. If they make the drugs like they make kid's toys, can we expect lead in the drugs?

The Chinese have greased Trudough and the Liberal party very well. Expect them to press on with buying Canada.

It could either be "lead or melamine , possibly something else to act as a filler "

The Trudeau government has cancelled a cabinet order by the previous Harper government that would have forced a Chinese electronics company to abandon its takeover of a Montreal-based high-tech firm because of concerns the deal could harm national security.

ITF Technologies, formerly Avensys, of Montreal is a leader in “fibre-laser” technology that is used in telecommunications, data communications and industrial applications. Its website mentions military applications for some of its products but does not elaborate.

Or to take the Liberal view, I am sure China's creation of the fortification in the South China sea, the new aircraft carrier, new submarines etc are all just misunderstood by military analysts and not really a threat....

Do you think JT would pay attention if the Chinese did the same thing on the small islands off the Newfoundland coast? Same thing only different location, right?
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

What I do remember is the indignation of the Libranos when Harper allowed "Some" Chinese investment into the oil sands. Now that they have greased Tru-Dough anything goes.
