Trudeau to bring back Gun Registry as the National Control List ???
I’ve heard recent rumblings that the Liberal government will soon announce and implement new measures with regards to Firearms, specifically as a "National Controls List". The previousConservative government dismantled the ‘Long Gun Registry’, because it was ineffective. Does this affect shotguns and rifles used by hunters, or is it aimed more towards restricted weapons. Anyone have any insight?.
Thanks.

This will only have to do with the new UN marking system for all NEW firearms entering the country if it gets passed at all. Given the staunch opposition from every quarter of the firearms user groups be they hunters or target shooters, the Liberals are being extremely circumspect. Millions of firearms owner breathing down their necks is having some effect. Only the most brain-dead Liberal supporter can't see this translating into millions of votes that went to them as a protest vote against Stephen Harper once, again, flowing back to the CPC.

A salesman from Elwood Epps told me the engraving of numbers begins in June. Can you imagine having a second serial number engraved by the Feds on a $14k Kreighoff trap gun? See many gangbangers getting into gunfights with 32" barrelled over/unders?
