Seeing those show dates I would prefer Renfrew for March 4th or 5th.
It's a decent hunting show in an accessible town, held early enough for newbies to get plenty of info and gear prior to the season starting.
Added bonus is that Renfrew has The Rocky Mountain House... Which is by far one of THE BEST restaurants in Ontario, and has no problem accommodating large groups. As well as the Gourleys Hunting & Fishing store.
IF a hunting show is NOT key to this gathering, then a meeting in either Richmond (That Hunting Store) or North Gower (The Old Co-op) would work well also.

South of Ottawa is ideal for me, but I know you moved up north, so that makes things worse for you.
Just pick a spot and I will try my best.

April 1st and 2nd, Lynn screwed up, ha ha ha.
We have a 50 cent shot thing going on, I will probably be working there, they have rifles, handguns, black power firearms and shotguns as well, fun for the whole family and the breakfast is delish and cheap too.

If Prescott (Grenville - not to be confused with the town of Grenville waaaaay the hell east) works for most then let's do that.
Now... SAT April 1 or SUN April 2?
Edit to add:
This will very likely be in middle of another good maple syrup season, which could mean lower attendance.
