In case you haven't picked up on some of the subtleties, the people your "continually "slagging" are your neighbors, are those who one day may or may not determine if yet another "tradition" goes the way of the Pigeon carrier. They are rural people, and city people alike. Except it wont be "their" fault. It might be because of attitudes, that think every person that moves to the country is an anti, or "cityiot" and an us vs them mentality thats as old as dinosaurs. yeah that's going to win someone over by calling them "cityiots" and Snowflakes....get them to understand, some things.

Hmm of the 800 or so people I know in Durham region, most of them "cityiots" Guess what a bunch are doing this weekend. Going to Easthill Outdoors "learn to shoot a bow"......

No Sense of community?
Well no wonder, your next neighbor is an uneducated cityiot before you've met him/her. Oh and that retired GM guy that wants me to shoot the feral cats, the coyotes, rabbits in our backyards....Hmmm, while up north hunting in December, he was shovelling the 2 feet of snow out of our 12 car driveway, another day I got a text from the GF, "someone's on an ATM plow it for me"......you were saying?

Yeah, you might think by now, that some would know. Insulting people, be they people like the OP, be they the uneducated cityiots in the "middle", be they the "urban snowflake posters"...Isn't going to get you what you want, in fact quite the opposite. Always amazes how/why people are at all surprised or play victim, or seem to think the world be it here, or at "home" works any differently................Thank god my kids know A) how not to start something, B) know a bit about respect and C) Will never lose, or sell their own.
