A friend of mine lost two and half fingers after loading a powder charge and slug into the barrel. As soon as he went to tamp it down,it fired sending the ball,range stick and his fingers skyward. There was no saving them,they were gone.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Was he seating a charge with a primer in?

That is what he thought happened. It's,also,the main reason I decided not be get involved with something that can injure like that. I couldn't get lucky in a Cat House with a fistful of fifties and it would be just my luck.....
