I'm going to take a lot of flack for this, but i personally do not support the farming of animals for fur. The conditions these animals are kept in is disgusting just for the purpose of fashion.
however i do support fur and hides being used as a by-product (ie leather) or ethically trapped animals.
I am no expert and these are just my thoughts, for which i will likely be crucified on this site lol.
