Default Flinter on the wall (WITH PICS NOW)

After staining my stock I decided to dress it up with some bling (Barrel, lock, muzzle cap, thimbles and butt plate). I still think it looks a bit clunky as in should be slimmer. Oh well, guess I'll hafta build another one. LOL..............Daniel

P.S. For some reason I have exceeded my quota of images. I will try to post some later.

Interesting, when I bought my CVA .45 Kentucky was was taken aback at how thin the stock was. It seemed odd, I was expecting the old guns to be made with a bit more meat/girth to hold on too. Once I started to see more of them I realized it was normal and probably made like that to help keep it lighter (weight) as they were carried a long way hunting each day.

You may have to create an account on PhotoBucket and then post your pics there and then link the URL into the post...just find some 10 yr old kid to walk you through it....LOL....

I think you just dwarf the gun, ha ha, hand it to my wife and it will be too heavy, ha ha.

Flinters are just awesome, too bad they are hard to find up here.

Kits are hard to find too, ha ha.

Been talking about making a trip south of the border for one, it seems like Muzzle Loaders are not considered by the US when it comes to export, just don't try to bring projectiles back too.
