Before you decide where to go check the regs for chance at getting a tag. Chapleau area not good odds. Just saying.

Try unit 47. Just checked the 2017 summary and there is 1 bull tag for the entire unit. No cow tags. How's that for some amazing odds at getting drawn??

Bad... How do you read the table? What's the diff between pool 1 and pool 2?

    Choice goes by wmu right?

Just a guess but they left the one tag so the 1500 people would still apply.

MBP, if you applied last year and were unsuccessful in the draw you are now in pool 1, if you did not apply you are in pool 2

There was only 6 tags last year. This is a large WMU with a lot of moose. Obviously the MNR must be listening to their U S contractor when they set the tag allotments.

Thanks, maybe I'll renew my Dad's long expired hunting license, so I can apply as a "group"

Can't be any worst than the 1 tag for 1500 applicants

You owe it to the moose carcass not to hunt alone.

Hunting alone is fine. Just have the tools. Not to difficult to debone a moose and get the meat out effectively.

Some help is a good idea. ( My brother B.C.)
