Permethrin Premium Insect Repellent is not allowed in Ontario/Canada

I picked up a 32 oz jug of concentrate Permrethrin in the States (Amazon.Com) for 25.00. Mix 2 oz to 1 us gallon of water to make .5 % solution....the same as the Sawyers stuff only a lot cheaper.

Shipping was free, no duty or tax. I have stuff sent to our mailbox in Port Huron, they don't very often charge tax at the border for stuff under 100.00. We just have to go over and pick it up.....get gas and out for supper!!

i just bought 2 cans of it from our local guy here in Chatham.. they have people that swear by this stuff.. going to be nice to go into the bush this season and not be overly worried about bringing back a bunch of ticks

I have a DEET spray that I picked up from LeBaron, but I was thinking about taking a drive out to TSC to buy some spray with Permethrin. My only concern is the citronella scent because I use the same clothes for deer hunting in the fall. If I spray my clothes and then wash them after turkey season closes, will I need to worry about any lingering scents for deer season?

i wouldn't worry about it.. from what i researched, one treatment will last UP TO 40 days.. so, any odor should be long gone by the start of deer season... if you are worried, put your clothes in a garbage bag or use a large tote with a lid if you have one available, and place a couple pine branches or spruce branches in with your clothes and leave them in there for a few weeks... that will "soak" your clothes back up with the natural smell of pine or cedar or spruce tree odor..
