Just bought a old 14 ft fiberglass runabout boat. No hull plate can anyone give info?

Best get it to Canada customs to have it registered,even as home made to avoid hefty fine if ever stopped by OPP,etc. Gotta have a Canadian Plate,small print allows 'em to "Nail" you if only American registration if they so desire.

Seeing that you live in a small town, I would call the local OPP and ask their advice. You will need trailer ownership and also some paperwork for the boat. There is a system in place for these things.
Looks like a fun way to spend the summer on the water without needing a second mortgage...

My first boat was a 14 fiberglass with a 30 then a 40hp. Gave it to my Dad when I went bigger. He had it till the day he pasted. In all we had the boat for over 30 years. Got lots of fish with that boat.
Yes you will want it registered. I was pulled over on the water 2 weeks ago and was asked for all safety equipment, my boaters card and registration. Never been asked before for more than safety equipment. I had it all and they were just doing there job.
