The "Ending the Long Gun Registry Act" did a lot of things other than ending the long gun registry. The fact that the Libs intend to amend it should not be taken to mean they're going to bring back the registry.
But don't let that interfere with the conclusion everyone loves to jump to!

Not jumping to any conclusions Welsh as I said we shall see what this brings. Best as I can Figure is by amending the act they can give Quebec the old records from the registry that they want so badly regardless if the info is up to date or not. Then the next question is what is to stop other provinces from getting the records and starting provincial registries.??
I could be wrong but ....

I don't think this is the beginning of a registry, but the firearms marking scheme the Libranos have passed, will result in a registry.

Any notion of a long gun type registry would be political suicide now in Canada.

Has too much time on their hands
It seems to be an issue, they are saying to provide Quebec data from April 3, 2015 ..... but it was supposed to be destroyed 2 weeks later ... It seems that the Liberals are saying deleting the records was unconstitutional .... even thought the Supreme court ruled they could. The Lieberals seem to have taken their talking points and they won't create a new registry, just restore what the Conservatives shouldn't have been allowed to destroy int he name of public safety, the constitution, the charger of rights and the Ottawa parking rules.... blah blah blah....
Brian Liley once again covering what the Liebrals don't want questioned and the media won't report
https://www.therebel.media/what_the_...e_gun_registry
Where ever this data from April 3,2015 is coming from I wonder if 2012 data is there too .... (Hence the Alberta high river claims), if it is we can be guaranteed there won't be charges for breaking the law when the registry is restored, probably right after the next election and with CBC probably doing a dozen or so anti-firearm shows with their payoff ....well it will be interesting the Libranoes are in power.

Sure.
I've read the text of the bill, so it's hardly fair to take your money. But if you want to make a bet, we can just cut to the chase and you can EFT me however much money you like.
