Has too much time on their hands
TC Encore build with range results
I will start by saying this gun does not have a TC barrel. TC barrels are black powder only.
The barrel is a match grade Brux .458 smokeless powder capable purchased and imported from the US.
Popped the gun together and I had to inlet the forearm but after that it was clear sailing.
Skypilot helped me out and did the site in on this gun while I worked on the other two smokeless ML's. Thanks Skypilot!
I did a few groups after he was done and it exceeded expectations. Perfectly capable 300 yard deer gun.

My pleasure Big Jack. Thanks for inviting me to range test it. What a really nice shooting ML and it was also very accurate with different style bullets.
Very nice group, it is definitely a shooter.

That's some good shooting there. Well done. You must be pretty happy.
I'm curious as to what are the main differences in the barrels? Tks.
Cheers

It was only 100 yards. Not far but am happy with that accuracy.

The barrels are much heavier and thicker than a stock barrel. They are also a match grade barrel so incredibly uniform bore and rifling. Most importantly and biggest difference is the Brux barrel I purchased is made to take smokeless powder. Stock ml barrels are BP only.
Only place that sells this specific barrel for the Encore receiver is Arrowhead Sporting Goods in the US.
