Any range for trying out different shotguns?
Hello everyone,
I just got my PAL with the intentions of hunting. I am in the Mississauga area and I was wondering if anyone knows of a range with multiple models of shotguns for me to try. I'm especially interested in the Remington 870, but also want to try others like Mossberg. Also both 12 and 20 gauge if possible.
I called urban tactical in Brantford, but they only have one model. Silverdale has no shotguns in their packages but I'm going to call them tomorrow and ask anyway.
Any advice on this would be appreciated.
Thanks!

You can always try Target Sports Canada in Gromley. I am not sure how many models they have, but I think they allow the public to use 'rental' firearms during supervised range time. If anything, just got to your local sporting goods store and shoulder a bunch of models. If you are looking at pump models, most will have the relatively same recoil in comparable gauge. It's more important to see how the gun will fit you and you can get your fill in a store much easier without having to shoot.

I see, that's interesting to hear. Thank you.
I went to a sporting store a few days ago with the intention of buying one, but it was recommended that I try them first to get a "feel".
I will also check out Target sports in gromley as well, thanks for that.

I do not know any ranges in Ontario that will loan you guns....but some of the larger ranges most guys will let you handle their personal guns (maybe even shoot a round with it) as long as you do not walk up to the guy with a Kreigoff - LOL

Actually at Silverdale if you call a few days in advance you can get a few different shotguns to try if the range officers can bring their own for you. That would mean you need to pay for the range officers time, ammo, and a tip but that is really worth it.
