You admit the is no real expectation less than 1% of seeing a fox so you are not fox hunting.
In all your descriptions there is no real intention to hunt fox. bringing 2 clips of ammo for an animal you state as having less than 1% chance of seeing further contradicts your intention.
MNR will have nothing of it if you give them the answer your trying to push here.
Oh...and guaranteed. A couple of COs who frequent these pages are likely to now pop into QE2 to have a look.....

Why do I get the feeling soon we will be reading a thread along these lines in the near future.
https://www.oodmag.com/community/sho...31-Blood-Trail
Would advise reviewing this thread as its a great life lesson on what can happen when one uses creative interpretation to achieve their own goals.
Highlights here was 1. creative trespassing interpretation
2. creative recovery interpretation
3. overall creative hunting rationalization
Don't think he has ever returned either.

Would love it to be made a sticky and required reading for all new hunters

My post and that post are not alike. The person above broke the law, accidentally or not on purpose or not, he was not allowed to cross that property line without permission. I'm also not 'creatively' interpreting the laws. I'm actually doing the opposite, I'm using the literal translation of the law to ensure I'm doing everything by the book.
The fact that you think that his post and my post are similar provides the necessary proof to withdraw from this intellectual discussion we're having. You unfortunately showed up unarmed.
I would also love an MNR officer to pay me a visit in the woods when I have all the proper gear, licenses, and proof of my actions. Happens all the time when I'm fishing and MNR officers are quite friendly when they realise you're the type of person that follows the rules.
I've never been woodcock hunting. I bet if i decided to go woodcock hunting i could easily have a less than 1% chance of seeing/shooting a woodcock. Does that mean i'm breaking the law and the MNR should assume my actions are malicious?
You guys crack me up. Enjoy your week fellas. I have the answers I was looking for.

So "chill out man".....and maybe actually listen to the messaging you're being given.
Thanks BBB for helping FFF out, he needed it. Also i didn't mean to get you all worked up, i wouldn't want you to fall off your chair and break a hip since you must be quite old if you've been licensed that long.
I would assume you and FFF are the type of folks that don't walk around accusing people in real life of malicious intent or that they're trying to break the law. If you did that would make you a real p****. So why would you do it two finger typing behind a keyboard? Seems like troll like characteristics....

OK.
Look at your post history. You have been on here less than a year, and you're asking a lot of new hunter questions. Except the one where you tell a hunter from Timmins where centerfire rifle isn't allowed in Southern Ont. ( which is incorrect).
You're older than 30? Super, then maybe realize that ad-homenem attacks on people really achieve no purpose. FFF gave you some info. You didn't like it, and proceeded to whinge and whine about the answer you were given.
So save your insults for someone else. My identity and bona fides are easy enough to find on here, you want to speak to me personally, I'm happy to have the conversation with you. I don't accuse people, period, but when I say something doesn't pass the smell test, it doesn't......but I'm sure in your extensive and numerous dealings with COs, you'll be able to check with them. Perhaps that's where your inquiry should have started, no? I work with various levels of LEO, including MNRF.....my "smell test" analogy is a good one.
You're going "fox hunting" in a Provincial Park. OK...what purpose? You're not going to eat it, no one is going to skin out a Summer coat fox, and you're in a PP, so you're not performing predator control.......
You're looking for a reason to take a gun while camping. There's lot of crown nearby where you can do that, with impunity.
Enjoy your "camping trip".

At this point you are just
. He has his mind set that he wants to bring his gun and willing to give a line of half truths to justify it. At this point all I can suggest is a least bring a predator call to further the illusion.
Going to be hard to restore your credibility here.

WTG,Sprite. Nice way to win friends and influence people being a FNG. Ageist insults and disrespect works wonders on this site. LOL (Sarcasm OFF)
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

I led with I'm going to check with the MNR in Minden. Most people who are intending to break the law don't check with the cops to see if it's ok.....
Thanks fellas, enjoy the rest of your summer.
