I'd love to send it to them BUT why? Have they ever truly listened? and again you're assuming they can read!

We need a policy making panel comprised of 1/2 hunters and 1/2 MNR staff all with an equal vote on policy. Much like a town council. Ideas bounce back and forth and a vote decides which ideas are carried forward. Only then will some common sense change the rule of the land. The way it is now it's 100% MNR. Overeducated, overpaid, and unaccountable. What a mess! I finally realize they just don't give a shyte about us. I hope the drop in revenues gets the attention up higher and some heads roll. Oh wait this Canada right! Not gonna happen!
If you keep doing what you've always done. You'll keep getting what you've always got!

I sure hope you put some science into that panel, 50% hunters is a bad idea in my mind, seeing how much people complain that they do not get adult tags, even with the collapse of the moose population in Ontario.

I would send it , as the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Just look around, the minority groups do a lot of complaining and demonstrating the gov. appears to listen to them, If we do not complain and voice our opinions, the gov. will just carry on and do as they like.
If we [ enough of us ] tell them it is going to hurt their pocket book they will have to sit up and listen to us , if not many of them could be out of work.

Au contraire, if there is a mass exodus of moose hunters that forgo buying a license for a few years we can sit back without saying a word and enjoy the show. The special purpose account will drop in revenue, the privileged groups that don't contribute now will unabashedly continue to deplete the herd and lastly the small merchants who depend on the tourism revenue from the hunters will take a financial hit which in turn equals in less tax dollars collected.

It is these people who will be crying for something to be done about this unacceptable situation.
Like I said in the past, vote with your wallet.
A boycott is what is required to make them take notice and judging by the many comments here it has started.

YOU DON'T REALLY BELIEVE THAT DO YOU?

It was hunters and conservation groups that paid for the wild turkey to be brought back to Ontario. It didn't take long for the MNR to see it was working and since then they've been patting themselves on the back. It was hunters that footed the bill for the elk project, NOT the fricken MNR. They jumped on both bandwagons after WE the hunters came up with the CASH! And a big bonus for them was .... licence fees. and they go up every year! It's fishermen and conservation groups running any fish hatcheries still surviving and YUP more licence revenue.

One common thread amongst any hunter worth his camo underwear - WE KNOW what it takes to make it work and we're not afraid to make a hard decision which sometimes affects our freezers. Seems like the MNR can't make any decision unless it passes their smell test - revenue! How many years did we wait? How many workshops did we attend .. promises of sweeping change to the moose. What did we get? A slight change to the tag transfer game. There was no way they would eliminate transfers. They know there's lots of tags bought by wives, in-laws, friends. Non moose hunters all of them. Free revenue for the wynne coffers. All they did was move the nut around under the shells and figure out how they could give less and collect more. Then they slam another wolf protection bill through. just as sudden as the cancellation of the spring bear way back when.

As soon as you and I get it through our heads that they don't CARE what you or I think then the better off we are.

Sure there's always a few bad apples but overall the hunting community is intelligent and well versed on what's actually going on in the woods.

You can't honestly say you approve of what the MNR been doing to once game rich Ontario. Really?

If past practice dictates future behavior then we're screwed! and y'know what? it usually does.
