Default Finally fired my flinter build

Went to Silverdale range today to test fire my build. No adjustments of the iron sights were made. I could not believe that I got them this close just using a dial caliper in my shop. For the first shot ever out of this barrel, I loaded a charge of 40 gr. ffg and .490 ball patched in .015 cotton. I set it up in a (home built) shooting rack and secured it with a ratchet strap. I then fired it remotely with a long string tied to the trigger. First shot was low by 6 inches and 1 inch left. Unbelievable!!.Iloaded with 70 gr. for the next 3 shots and fired off of my shoulder. Not too shabby at all. This rifle should kill me a Deer no problem. Definitely a shooter. Happy happy..............................Daniel146_3658.jpg

Good work, is it a rifled barrel? My 50 shoots well up to 80 grns 2f then starts to spray patterns after that.

I'm tres envious, I really hope one day get into Flint ML's. Still waiting for that great deal to come my way

I have yet to make smoke on the range this summer, time to knuckle down before the summer is gone.

Great shooting, congrats on the maiden voyage !
