Anyone up for some company?
Hi folks, I'm new to Ontario and new to gundogs. I'm looking at getting a dog of my own in the future but I believe in doing the research early, I went to a spaniel hunt test in Erin recently and will be going to a retriever trial in Puslinch later this month.
I'm located in Guelph and I was wondering if there are any locals who would be up for letting an extra gun tag along to gain some experience hunting over different breeds and just plain seeing dogs work. I'd jump at the chance to hunt over flushers, pointers, setters and/or retrievers.
If anyone is up for the company I can provide coffee and a few laughs (mostly at my missed shots).
I'm also up for some non-dog related hunting, being new here I'm up for anything that gets me in the field.
Cheers

If you are willing to drive to the big smoke in October I'll show you how Small Munsterlanders hunt woodcock.
No shooting, it'll be within city limits.

That sounds alright to me! I'll PM you closer to October?

That's the kind of thing I'm looking for. I love to hunt and I love to work with dogs so it's only a matter of time and experience before I decide on which breed is best for me.
