No dog ? Take along a small cheap packable fishing rod and reel with a floating lure, cast out and retrieve your duck or goose.

Has too much time on their hands
I am back. I will have to use (at your own risk)
12ft Duck boat kayak (mine +1)
12ft Tinner (Camo)
14ft Old Town Canoe (Camo)
I have 3-4 life jackets, so bring one if you have one. The center channels are up 12ft deep, the edges are deep muck and nasty if you fall or step up to your(####).
I will be in spot/location Friday by 3pm (staying until Sunday) if anyone wants to join me. The offer is still open and I welcome any hunter all weekend.
Friday night is basically a camp out night and checking of decoys and gear. Legal hunting does not happen until 30 minutes before Sunrise on Saturday Morning.
Text me for location. 613-863-5483
It will be hot, hot, hot this weekend so bring light clothing. Bug spray will be required or if your camo is good. Not required. Light shirts and pants, face camo mask or grease. I wear a mask and it does a good job of keeping bugs off me.
Geese will be mainly fly out (morning) and Fly in (night). Lots of action during that time. The Paden road pond is high and the blind is still good to use.

My wife's "official" due date is today but I have a feeling she will probably deliver later this week so that rules out a weekend hunt for me. But I will text you once everything is settled down and I can get out for a hunt...I look forward to meeting up with you and some of the people on this forum and have some quality time in the outdoors...

Lets hope all goes well, and you can get out. The first weeks are hard for sleep with a new one. Hopefully you can get out. The offer stands until the ponds freeze over. From then it will be deer hunting routine and weekends for small game until I can't get the truck into woods.

Bump to top. I cannot be reached after 12 on this means. If you need to contact me call my cell at 613-863-5483. All packed and loaded except guns and food.
Small Game opened on the 15 Sept for most everything. I will try to get in a coyote hunt, and some crow hunts this weekend as well.

We're going to have to plan a yote hunt here in my back yard...I'm seeing them 2-3 times a week on the neighbours feild. Driving my dogs crazy at night, they come right up to the barn.
Time to thin that pack out a bit
