Has anyone seen many wild mushrooms this year?
So far this year it seems really poor in North East Ontario for me. I usually have a great time with trumpets, hedge hogs, boletes, chicken of of woods, lobster mushrooms, comb tooth, shaggy mains, etc to just name few. I see the odd mushroom around but not enough for a meal,
Anybody had any better luck?

only on my last outing did I see the odd mushroom. Fear the hot dry weather we had in sept and beginning of october put a damper on the season.

The prime mushroom picking up south of Parry Sound happened September 19 to 27.
After that....not so good.

Went by my neighbour's place yesterday and noticed a pile of shaggy manes on his front lawn. Haven't seen lots this year though.
Cheers

Very poor fall in the Temagami area this year. Have been up a few times and haven't seen one lobster on only a couple russala's in early September along with some slippery jack's and very few bolete's .
