For years the lowdown progressive liberals have been saying (and unfortunately many believed it) that diversity was a good thing - well I'll tell you something - it ain't and what they are saying is a lot of BS - when you have a lot of diversity in a country you have a lot of turmoil and strife - just look around - you have different religions and each trying to promote their agenda - someone puts up a cross, a star or some other symbol and others get all upset and complain resulting the symbol being removed - then people get mad at each other - then you have different races where each has it own culture which often conflicts with the culture of other races - then people are mad at each other - then you have people with different political view points and they are fighting with each other to gain control of the country - how someone can say that this is good beats me

When you have a country where the people all look alike, think alike and act alike you have a much stronger country - and when things get rough the place doesn't fracture and fall apart - you all know if something really bad should happen each faction within a society will separate itself from others because there isn't anything to hold them together - just look at what is happening around the world and the trouble being caused by letting all kinds of people into various countries where they don't fit - this diversity concept is something that the one world order crowd has spawned - so next time you hear some joker trying to push diversity tell him he is full of ,,,,,,

Maybe in "merica." However, much as I hate Toronto, it is one of the most diverse places on earth and compared to most other cities its size that are less diverse Toronto has far less violence and crime.

I have yet to see how this bs diversity line from the left has been proven to strengthen any country in the world. In fact recent history shows the exact opposite. How anyone can think that bringing in millions of immigrants that have little to no intent on assimilating into society except to suck it dry drawing welfare is beyond common sense.

I can understand why an American might feel that way based all the problems they've had. Trump hasn't helped. but rather increased racist talk/activities.

22% of Canadians are immigrants - not born here. They keep the job market going. In my day most families had 6-7 kids +- not any more. Thank goodness for the immigrants.

Well, the economists say we need them and I expect they're right; I'm in general agreement with Sharon wrt birth rates.

I just wish we had more of a melting pot society and that different cultures realized that they joined US. I don't believe the Charter right of freedom of religion must lead to religious accommodation.

You guys are missing the point - these isolated instances don't prove anything - just look at what is happening to countries in Europe, the middle East, here in the U.S. - as the diversity increases so do the problems - they have diversity in Iraq and see what is happening - different groups are always fighting with each other - the same in Syria - If a country feels that it needs more immigrants then it should try to get those that have a lot in common with the existing population - not immigrants that are entirely different - and as far as being a white supremacist my comments apply to any country no matter what the predominate race of that country is - you are buying into something that will bite you in the butt in the long run - just wait until something real bad happens in a country and see how all these different groups separate and look out for themselves - as far as history is concerned - it proves my point more than not -
