Question regarding Deer tag
I am new to hunting and have a question regarding my deer tag and any help would be greatly appreciated!!
So I applied back in June for my tag and I received a 'antlerless bow only' tag for my home WMU. Am I able to use that tag for a buck using a rifle in another WMU?
Thanks!

Yes. You can use your buck tag in any WMU.

Ok great thanks. So even though my tag says 'antlerless bow only' I can still use a rifle on a buck elsewhere.

Yes I find it poorly worded but yes...... Your initial tag generally speaking is good for an antlered deer across the province with an open gun or bow season but can only use a bow to kill an antlerless deer and only in that WMU listed on the tag. ....................if that makes sense

You pretty well sum it up but every year some who has applied for a doe tag asks this.

dutch, can that tag not be used in a controlled hunt if you have been registered to hunt, in a specific area?

You would have had to apply and be accepted into the control hunt... Too late to do that as the application for the control hunt entry ends at the beginning of the summer (June I think).
