I'm still pretty new to rabbit hunting.

Is it just be a use the brown fur contrasts better against the white snow?

    Just once so far.
Plenty of snow up here— my previous spot has no/low activity, but there’s some action a mere 1/2km away- lots of tracks & turds, but I didn’t see any bunnies. (Even with my new glasses!)

Looking for tips- working the hares solo and dogless on snowshoes. (Yes, snowshoes already!)

Haha! ... My spot is just a bit Northeast of Thunder Bay.

I wouldn’t say that snowshoes are an absolute necessity yet...it’s generally at or below knee-level right now.

Surely someone has some pics of a rabbit hunt. Or their dog. Or a suggested recipe. ANYTHING!!

... Sorry celebrated my wife's birthday last night. No way I was getting up for a hunt this morning when bedtime was until 230am. I need to live vicariously through my fellow hunters today.

I’m giving it a try today in #13 & 15B — planning on getting some exercise on snowshoes again at least... I will follow up with any tracks, turds and kick a few trees.

I’ll take some pics, -though they may just be of snowscapes.

Looking at some above zero temperatures today... should be a nice hike!
