Anybody have peeling plates? What did you do about it ?
My friend has one that is coming apart.
The clear plastic is not stuck to the plate.
Will service Ontario replace it free?(she is calling today)
She got the plate in 2010 when she bought the car.
All I can find online is newspaper articles, saying some pay and some don't.
Is there a difference between front and back? Are both reflective.
My guess is if they can't read the front you would still get a ticket.
    Your thoughts please.
    Thanks.

Same issue, got mine in March 2011 and I had to replace them this year. They are crap! They will warranty them if less than 5 years.

They replaced ours this year no questions asked - just went into the office with the plates and ownership - they replaced the plates right there.

We just did ours a few weeks ago was peeling off. Looked like it was melting off.

If started with a B there is a cut off at B something they will replace for free . Ours was BM the starting of the plate and it was a free replacement.

There was a series of plates that had a recall on them. in the B series as mentioned.

Call it in, they will offer a free replacement if within a set period of time.
"Camo" is perfectly acceptable as a favorite colour.

What would happen if you removed all the material peeling off and painted them yourself as long as you didn't change anything?

You could end up in jail! Or so I was told by a cop when I 'fixed' my plate with a
blue marker! Replaced mine last year and was told they replace them if they were purchased within the last 5 years!
