Has too much time on their hands
Fall 2017 Mentoring Program
Fall hunting 2017. I decided this year I
would give back to the community. I started out 5 yrs ago as new hunter and
had no one to mentor me. I made many mistakes, and learned some hard
lessons.
So this year I set out introduce new hunters who had no idea where to
start. Needless to say, it was well received. Here are the stats:
Duck Camp - 37 first time hunters.
Small Game Camp - 31 first time hunters
Deer camp - 9 first time hunters.
Wild Edible Program - 12 students
I am truly happy about the success of the season. Not everyone connected
with game and more importantly, no one fell into swamps.
Thanks to all who attended.

That’s a great idea. Maybe we should have a new section on the forum where hunters can connect or swap hunts. I’d love to get involved, but my work schedule is so sporadic that most of my hunts are last minute decisions.
You sir, are a good person.

Don't need a new section. Just go to the forum of interest post your needs/wants. Does work.

Has too much time on their hands
Many new members on the forum this year came out (Eastern Ontario). Even two gentlemen made the trip from Markham to join the camp for a weekend.
I would highly recommend everyone have a goal to take at least new person, that is how we will grow as a sport and community. ME, It was just fun to share the times and give back!!
