Bought this yesterday after hearing really good things about it. What do you guys know about it? How are you cleaning and maintaining it? I had a traditions prior to this one but it was a night mare to keep clean. have a horror story about the rust inside and outside the barrel and the siezed speed breach.

Clean ... oil ...then clean again before you use it ..... blackpowder is murder on these guns .

Use a mop brush with soapy water. Scrub back and forth , 5 or 6 times. While you do this , place a tube of bore butter in the hot water. Pull the barrel out of the water and swab with bore butter. Do the same with the breach. Good to go. PS. The bore butter works great on all metal parts.

Like any other muzzle loader it has to be cleaned and maintained properly or " it will rust " .
Go to " google " there is a lot of info there on cleaning and maintenance.
