So you support the government selling a product that isn't good for you?
I grew up in the 70's and 80's so yeah we smoked a hell of a lot of weed. I'm not anti weed, far from it. I find it extremely hypocritical for government to get into the business knowing if is harmful to your health. You wanna smoke, no problem grow your own. Many of my neighbors do. Good for them. But to sell it knowing it's bad for you should be grounds for class action suits.

Anyway, back to the original post. After the hunt when guns are racked it wouldn't bother me at all if someone lit up instead of drinking alcohol.

The government is legalizing marijuana so they can spend $ 35 million of our money to tell us the harm it can cause.

Trudough is legalizing it as payment for the IOU he owes Wynne for her help getting him elected. She will collect sales tax, build an infrastructure of unionized government workers who will vote Liberal. Costs him nothing $$ to payback Wynnochio and he gets HST money he can give away by buying carbon credits to pretend he is reducing our carbon footprint.

There should be no grounds for a lawsuit if you were informed of the dangers beforehand and still chose to use. I think everyone knows the perils of pot, unlike tobacco ,where they once said it was GOOD for you!

Lot of positives of pot, tobacco and alcohol can also be good for you but we have no idea how to use moderation. Tobacco being so chemically dependent though makes it potentially much worse than pot, there is no chemical dependence with pot, the dependence some people get is the feeling.

Interestingly, I'm finding that among those I've spoken to who light up, many don't drink at all or very little.

No, they are legalizing marijuana because they know they have the support of the majority of the population, and can make a crap load of money selling it. The only thing that was stopping them in the past was the bad stigmatism associated with it, and had any politician mentioned it, they would get creamed in a vote. Opportunity knocks ... they see the general population softening up to it, and they are rubbing their hands together because they're going to make a killing. Why do you think Wynne isn't privatizing any marijuana sales and wants the LCBO to do it?

For every 1000 pounds will bring them In almost half million dollars minimum. They should be able to sell that off in a week . If they can the government will be bringing half million a week the dept will be gone in no time.

They aren't going to sell squat, because everyone is going to grow their own.

I keep hearing that pot is bad for you, but I don't know of any facts that prove it?? I have however heard of many benefits.
